History

In the early months of 1978, 13 physician practice administrators and billing managers met to discuss issues affecting physician practices and reimbursement. These individuals realized the importance of working together to address issues of mutual concern and they incorporated as the state affiliate of the Medical Group Management Association on November 28, 1978.  Maryland MGMA is a 501(c)(6) professional association as determined by the Internal Revenue Service.  View the list of former Maryland MGMA presidents.
