Calvert Internal Medicine Group seeks a full-time medical Accounts Receivables Representative to join the team. This position will process account receivables for assigned insurance carriers and patient accounts in accordance with departmental procedures. Duties include but not limited to: responds to patient and insurance carriers inquiries; follows up with insurance companies; conducts research for unpaid claims; processes claim corrections; and reviews past due accounts; other duties as assigned.

Position requires HS diploma/equivalent. At least 2 years previous experience working in medical accounts receivables required, preferably in a medical setting. Must have working knowledge of accounts receivables, practice management system/EHR system(s), CPT and ICD-10 coding.

Implements and maintains organizational policies and procedures pertaining to personnel of 2 locations, daily operations, and month-end bank statements and reporting. Medical billing and follow-up including calling on unpaid patient balances. Basic bookkeeping, oversight of front desk and billing department.

High school diploma/GED. Associates degree or beyond preferred. 3 years of healthcare/medical office experience and 2 years general management experience. Must have medical terminology knowledge and medical billing experience. Experience in a physical therapy practice is highly desirable.
